TOWARDS THE IMPROVEMENT OF IOT-CENTRIC CLOUD FOR IOT AND CLOUD CONVERGENCE

The Internet of Things (IoT) will enable a range of applications providing enhanced awareness and control of the physical environment. The success of the IoT world requires service provision attributed with ubiquity, reliability, high-performance, efficiency, and scalability. Virtually interconnected objects with unique identifiers and computing, communication and sensing functionalities form the Internet of Things (IoT) architecture. In order to accomplish this attribution future business and research vision is to merge the Cloud Computing and IoT concepts, i.e., enable an “Everything as a Service” model: specifically, a Cloud ecosystem, encompassing novel functionality and cognitive-IoT capabilities, will be provided.

To Convergence is the name in cloud computing where advancements in compute, storage, and network are converging to enable new capabilities, decrease cost, and introduce scale previously thought unimaginable. The internet of things has evolved the new concept of the Internet network. This enables communication between several objects. Hence the paper will describe an innovative IoT centric Cloud smart infrastructure addressing individual IoT and Cloud Computing challenges.

This paper provides a brief survey of the improvement of IoT-Centric Cloud for IoT and Cloud Convergence and presents recent research that addresses the challenges that are mentioned above.
