This project was funded for organizing a training session for Networking Professionals on Cyber Security. The main objectives were -

• 8 participants from 8 different countries such as, Bhutan (BT), Cambodia (KH), Laos (LA), India (IN), Sri Lanka (LK), Nepal (NP), Myanmar (MM), Vietnam (VN) and 24 from Bangladesh (BD) i.e. total 32 (Thirty One) IT professionals working with NREN in different countries will be trained to protect the campus network from cyber threats.
• To ensure domain specific training on cyber security for networking professionals of Universities and research institutes under BdREN.
• To build capabilities for cyber security with the training by ISO recognized trainer
• To build a digital, secure and resilient network system needed for citizens, business, society and government.
• To reduce the risk from cyber threats through a combination of optical fiber connections, high speed internet, IT professionals, modern technology, and cooperation.
