Automatic Detection of Maturity Stages of BARI Aam-3

This work categorizes mangoes (BARI Aam-3 or Amropali) automatically according to their ripeness using the images of the mangoes. The main objectives are -

  • To eliminate the disadvantages of current state of the art for mango classification where mangoes of different categories may be packed in the same package and thus their shelf lives are reduced.
  • To automate the categorization of mangoes in the industries so that less human intervention is required and time and costs are saved thereby.
